On May 24, 2008, racers will line up on Washington Street in Harrisonburg to participate in the third annual All-American Soap Box Derby in the Harrisonburg/Rockingham County area.
Boys and girls ages 8 yrs. to 17 yrs. will be pitted against each other in a race to the finish line. Each participant should come with a support team - fathers, mothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, wanna-be 2009 participants– to lend their support and cheers!
In the end, it will boil down to a winner in each of the two divisions: Stock and Super Stock with second and third place winners in each of the divisions, also.
The first place winners will head to Akron, Ohio for the 70th All-American Soap Box Derby at the Derby Downs on July 21st, 2008
